There’s no fixed size chart because there’s no fixed trailer — but the numbers that define every build are consistent:
- 12–14 ft free-hanging span with no legs or poles in the work area; wider and leg-supported builds available for long walls.
- Length matched to your wall — from 16 ft boxes to sectioned builds on 48–53 ft semi-trailers.
- Height-matched brackets for tall and low trailers alike, machined to your wall height.
- Every dimension confirmed with you before the build starts — the measure & install guide shows what we need.
Frame & fabric specifications.
Frames are welded from oversized aluminum stock; covers are sewn in-house with your choice of colors and fabrics, with full-color graphics printed directly into the material — not stuck on as a decal.

What comes in a race trailer awning kit?+
Every DMP awning ships as a complete kit: the heavy aluminum A-frame (1.5″ × 2″ × .125″ wall), a one-piece sewn fabric cover with a one-piece zipper, clear-anodized billet brackets and plates, stainless mounting hardware, quick connect/disconnect hardware, and a fabric storage bag. Printed graphics and sidewalls are added at build time if you spec them.
Are DMP race awnings for sale outright, or custom-built?+
Every awning is custom-built to order for your specific trailer — there’s no off-the-shelf stock unit. You request a free quote with your trailer details, we spec and price the build, and the finished awning ships nationwide ready to mount.
